Looking to make your child’s birthday truly unforgettable? You’ve come to the right place! At Highball Climbing Centre, we specialise in creating fun-filled, action-packed celebrations that your child and their friends will talk about long after the day is over.

BIRTHDAY PARTY

What is it: Your birthday child and up to 11 friends will enjoy an entire hour of action-packed bouldering and games. Our instructors will be there every step of the way, guiding them through the excitement!

When the celebrations wind down, you’re welcome to use our party space for up to 30 minutes after your climb to enjoy any snacks or treats you bring along!

When is it: Weekend afternoons and Friday evenings

Who’s it for: Individuals aged 6+ (you’re never too old!)

Duration: 1 hr

Price: £100 for up to 6 participants / £200 for up to 12 participants

**During the summer holdiays, birthday parties will have a maximum capacity of 6 participants.

Under 6 – Birthday Party

What it is: Celebrate your younger child’s big day with an action-packed climbing party! Your birthday child and up to 11 friends will enjoy a full hour of guided bouldering and games in our dedicated kids’ area. Our experienced instructors will be there every step of the way, making sure everyone has fun while climbing safely.

After the session, you’re welcome to use our party space for up to 30 minutes to enjoy any snacks or treats you’ve brought along.

When is it?: Weekends 

Who’s it for?: Ages 6 and under

Duration: 1 hr + 30 minutes party space

Price: £80 for up to 6 participants / £150 for up to 12 participants (party bags optional as an extra).

Birthday Party – Frequently asked questions

We’re excited to have you join us for an adventurous and fun-filled celebration. Below, you’ll find answers to some common questions regarding our climbing birthday parties and details concerning our acceptance of risk form, which will need to be filled out for each participant before the event. If you have any additional inquiries, feel free to reach out to our excellent team.

What is a climbing birthday party?

Our climbing birthday party is a unique and thrilling way to celebrate your child’s special day. It’s an opportunity for your child and their friends to experience the excitement of indoor rock climbing, challenge themselves, and create lasting memories.

Do participants need any prior climbing experience?

No prior climbing experience is required. Our experienced instructors will provide safety instructions and guidance throughout the session. We have climbing routes to accommodate both newcomers and experienced climbers.

Do I need to fill out a form for my child?

Yes, all participants are required to have an acceptance of risk form. Participants under 16 years of age must have their waiver form completed and signed by a parent or legal guardian. Waiver forms must be completed before the party begins. Failure to complete the form for your child will result in them being unable to climb.

How can I access the form?

Our acceptance of risks form can be easily filled out online through our website. Simply click here and follow the instructions provided.

Can waiver forms be filled out on the day of the party?

To ensure a smooth and timely check-in process and prompt start, we strongly recommend that all forms be completed in advance before the party. If you are bringing someone else’s child with you be certain their parent or guardian has completed their child’s form.

Can I add extra participants to the party?

Upon booking you will have the option to select a party size of 1-6 participants, or 7-12 participants. Once you have selected your group size and your reservation is confirmed, the maximum number of participants will be set in stone and no exceptions will be made for any additional participants on the day.

What should my child wear?

We recommend all participants wear comfortable clothing as you would for any sport (a spare change might be needed as clothes can end up chalky). Long hair needs to be tied back and jewellery removed before the session. We provide all the climbing equipment they’ll need for the session including climbing shoes.

Can parents watch?

We allow up to 2 spectators at a time, so you may take it in turns to watch your child climb. Spectators are not allowed in any of our matted climbing areas. If you just want to stay nearby, we have a café that serves hot and cold drinks as well as an ever-changing range of snacks. You’re more than welcome to relax with a cuppa and cake. Please note in colder seasons we recommend bringing warm clothes.

Is food provided during the party?

We do not currently offer a food option.
