Easter Holiday 2022

Easter holiday sessions are now available to book at Highball Norwich! The Norfolk Easter Holiday runs from April 4th to 15th and we’ve got loads of courses and sessions running throughout the week for kids and adults alike.

School holidays are always a popular time at Highball. After all, climbing is one of a few family friendly indoor activities in Norwich – perfect for when the weather is being a little too… British. That’s why we open a little earlier (10am most days, midday on Monday) and hold some special sessions just for kids. We also have our regular open climbing slots available for those extra hours to help space out the sessions throughout the day.

Opening times:

  • Monday – Friday: 10am – 10pm
  • Saturday and Sunday: 10am – 6pm
  • Bank Holiday Fri 15th and Mon 18th : 10am – 6pm

So, what have we got running for the Easter holiday?

For children aged 8 – 13:

For our the main event of school holiday sessions, we have our popular Bouldering School and Climbing School running. These are 2-day courses suitable for children aged 8 or over. These are only available during school holidays so make sure you book your place! You can find more information on our School Holidays page, including pricing, timing and the difference between the two activities.

For Families and Groups:

If you’re looking to climb as a family or group, we recommend the Private Taster Sessions. They are the only courses which cater for children as young as 6 and adults of any age! These give you your own dedicated coach and can focus on bouldering, roped climbing or a mix of the 2. These sessions are £45 for up to 4 people – up to 2 extra participants can be added for an extra £7.50 each.

For anybody 14 or over:

We’ve also packed the week with Intro to Bouldering sessions, which are suitable for adults and teenagers aged 14+. These courses are the quickest path to unsupervised climbing, with an hour of supervised bouldering which introduces you to all the essential knowledge and skills you need to navigate the centre. If you’ve always wanted to try bouldering but never known where to start – it’s here!

Notes for Parents and Visitors

If you’re bringing your child along to any of our sessions, you’ll be pleased to know that our café is well stocked with hot drinks and delicious snacks. We’ve got cakes, brownies, sausage rolls and other comforting snacks to choose from. All our coffee is freshly ground and we’ve got a selection of non-dairy milks in stock.

We’re also dog friendly! Please just remember that we’re based in a warehouse, so it can be pretty chilly if you’re sitting down – we encourage everybody (children, grown-ups and dogs!) to layer up to stay nice and cosy.
