This year’s Big Flash had an amazing turnout in numbers and donations. Through Competition entry fees and donations we were able to make just under £5,000 for Climbers Against Cancer. Meanwhile the ‘CAC’ stand was also able to make just over £1,000 selling their merchandise.
Each year we’re always blown away with the support of our regulars and climbers from afar, who donate and contribute to this event. We would like to give a huge thank you to all those who came, donated, volunteered and supported us and CAC during the festival!
The Big Flash has prided itself on rewarding everyone who makes it to the finals, for us it’s in the form of a guaranteed cash prize for any finals position. This years top three men and women are listed below.
2022 was the first year in a while that a Highballer has made the podium. Katie Fisher was able to take 3rd place in the womens and Ben Pestell was able to take 3rd place in the Mens. Katie is a GB selection regular from Highball, and although Ben is now Sheffield based due to University, we’ll count him as a Highballer for all his years here as a teen.
