Hey all,
We’re excited to announce that this November we’ll be hosting a screening of BritRock’s 2025 Film Tour at Highball! We’ll have hot food, cafe snacks and a fully stocked bar – so grab a hot chocolate (or a beer) and settle down to watch this year’s screening of BritRock’s fantastic new films; Little Wings and Game of Stones.
Little Wings – 25 mins
This film follows Tina Breslin, as she tours lines in Northern Yorkshire and the Lake District. Having been recently diagnosed with ADHD, Tina reflects on the mental benefits of climbing. Despite being a shorter climber (5’2″) Tina refuses to give into the struggles that come with the lack of reach, but stakes are raised as she takes on ‘Hang the Gallows High’, a route in which falling is not an option.
Game of Stones – 90 mins
Game of Stones celebrates UK trad climbing in all its glory, highlighting the greatest assents of 2025 – a year that has proven to be one of the best in trad climbing history.
Incredible onsights from Siebe Vanhee, Robbie Phillips, Steve McClure and Mat Wright
Major first assents from Ferdia Earle, Ian Cooper and Franco Cookson
Unbelievable repeats from Billy Rydal and Katie Keely
Blind climber Jess Dufton making his most impressive ‘non-sight’ to date
EDIT: There’s been an update! There is now a third film added to the bill!
Big Walls and Bedtime Stories – 15mins
As part of their year of “education through adventure,” professional climber Leo Houlding shares his favourite place with his favourite people. From home-schooling at 2,000 feet to portaledge snowball fights, Jackson and Freya scale the Muir Wall on El Capitan, supported by Mum Jess and Dad Leo. Come and hang out with the family!
So wrap up warm and join us on the 15th November for these brilliant additions to the BritRock canon!
See you there,
– Abby
