Summer is the perfect time to introduce children to the exciting world of indoor climbing, offering an adventurous yet safe environment for physical activity. Whether it’s mastering various climbing routes or tackling bouldering challenges, indoor climbing provides an excellent opportunity for kids to build strength, coordination, and confidence.
As temperatures rise and the sun beckons outdoor play, indoor climbing offers a fun alternative for when you want to get out of the sun but stay active. Let’s explore the indoor climbing activities we have on offer this summer.
HIGHBALL PLAY
We will be running our Highball Play sessions across the summer. Aimed at younger climbers who just want to climb for fun, these are single ‘drop in’ sessions with no commitment or coaching.
It’s all about time on the wall!
ROPED CLIMBING SCHOOL
Roped climbing school is a comprehensive introduction to the world of roped climbing. Over two sessions, we’ll introduce the basics your young climber needs to know to start climbing safely and effectively on our roped climbing area. This includes putting on a harness, tying in to a rope using a figure-of-eight knot, and some basic belaying. We will also go through some climbing techniques and explore different hold types on the wall.
The course takes place over two consecutive days with groups running across the summer.
