This winter we’re holding our very own bouldering league, which we’re calling, ‘The Flash League’ – and the first round is coming up fast.
When? Friday November 28th, 6.00pm-9.00pm
Price? Members £3, Non-members £5+ regular entry
Details? 25+ climbs, delicious food, stocked Cafe and Bar, DJ’s, £200 worth of raffle prizes each round
The Flash League will consist of five events – four competition rounds, and one final.
The first round will take place November 28th, the second will be in December, the third in January, the fourth in February and the final showdown will take place in March.
Just like the Flash Social, competitors will record their attempts as they go, however this time there will be no disqualification score line (so no TopGun!) and competitors’ finishing positions each round will determine how many points they collect. After all the rounds have taken place, the top 6 male and top 6 female scorers overall will be entered into the finals!
The Flash League is also a slight step-up from the last Flash Social comp in terms of difficulty, so there will be fewer 0’s & 1’s for beginners or smaller children – however, if you enjoyed the Flash Social, it’s always worth getting involved. Competitions aren’t solely for the strongest of the strong, and you might be surprised with what you can top.
Finalists will be chosen from the highest values over their best 3 rounds, so to be up for a place in the finals you’ll need to attend at least 3 of the rounds – missing one out of the four is totally fine!
We’re looking at a prize pool of just over £500 – with every finalist guaranteed a prize! However, keep an eye out for updates, as the finer details will be confirmed closer to the time…
