UPDATED: UV PARTY AND COMP NIGHT!

We’re super-psyched to announce a full centre UV Party on Saturday 18th February.

Following the success of our 10th Birthday Party, specifically the feedback on the UV cave area, we’ll be bathing the whole centre in UV light for one night only! 

YOU ARE INVITED!

There will be separate sessions for juniors (17:00) and unsupervised climbers (19:00) respectively, along with an optional competition for both.

Event Overview:

• Full centre UV!
• Large number of glowing problems and decor around the centre
• Special ‘one night only’ fun boulders
• Pizza and beers*
• Raffle
• There will be an instructor-led supervised session at 17:00 for children who need to be supervised e.g. parents don’t climb.
• Sadly we can’t accomodate spectators in the 19:00 session, we are expecting a busy one!

Comp Info:

• There will be a number of Orange Boulders around the centre which will be tagged for the comp.
• Entering the comp is optional and will be organised through the Griptonite App.
• There will be no Grand Final – to provide more climbing space.
• Prizes will be awarded via raffle with rankings for pride only!

Tickets:

Standard tickets will go on sale 1 February.

If you have opted into emails, you will receive your link to early bird and members tickets this week.

*The supervising adult is free but will need to book a place when buying tickets – priced £0.00.

HIGHBALLPLAY – UV SPECIAL

(SUPERVISED JUNIOR SESSION)

We have very limited spaces for an instructor-led supervised session at 17:00. Ideal for non-climbing parents whose children want to experience this special event. Note this session will be bouldering and traversing only – no harnesses or ropes.

JUNIOR SESSION

Time: 17:00 – 18:30

• Age 8+
• Junior climbers only
• Supervising adults are not permitted to climb during this session.
• Normal supervision ratios apply.
• Supervising adults must be experienced climbers who have registered for unsupervised climbing.
• Instructors will also be running a supervised session for children who need supervision. Spaces will be very limited.

ADULT SESSION

Time: 19:00 – 23:00

• Unsupervised climbers only.
• No supervision of friends/family members.
• Teenagers aged 14+ with a Green Card can attend
• No spectators/Non climbers. We expect the event to sell out. If you want to attend the event you will need to buy a ticket.

FAQ:

Can I supervise my friend/child during the evening session?
No. The evening session is for unsupervised climbers only.

If I bring my child to the 17:00 session, will I be able to climb with them?
No. Supervising adults can only supervise their children.

Do I have to enter the comp?
No. It’s optional.

If I don’t enter the comp, will I still be able to climb the comp problems?
Yes
