We’re so excited to announce birthday parties are BACK at Highball!

Are you ready to make your child’s birthday unforgettable? Look no further! Your birthday child and up to 11 friends will enjoy an entire hour of action-packed climbing and games. Our instructor/s will be there every step of the way, guiding them through the excitement, and showing them the ropes—literally!

After the climbing, your group can relax in a private area just for you. Tables and chairs are set up, giving you an extra 30 minutes to continue the party! While we don’t provide food, you’re more than welcome to bring your own goodies. Whether it’s a scrumptious cake or a big spread of treats, the choice is yours!

When the celebrations wind down, each child will receive a fantastic plastic-free party bag. It’s our way of saying thank you for choosing us to be a part of your child’s special day.

What it is: A Birthday Party Experience for up to 12 participants, with all climbing equipment provided. Includes a 1 hour instructor led session with fun climbs and engaging warm-up games. As part of the package, you’ll also enjoy a dedicated party area for an additional 30 minutes, providing the perfect space for you to bring your own food and refreshments.

When is it: Weekend afternoons

Welcome to our Climbing Party FAQ!

We’re excited to have you join us for an adventurous and fun-filled celebration. Below, you’ll find answers to some common questions regarding our climbing birthday parties and details on the form that need to be filled out for each participant before the event. If you have any additional inquiries, feel free to reach out to our excellent team.

What is a climbing birthday party? Our climbing birthday party is a unique and thrilling way to celebrate your childs special day. It’s an opportunity for your kid/s and their friends to experience the excitement of indoor rock climbing, challenge themselves, and create lasting memories.
Do participants need any prior climbing experience? No prior climbing experience is required. Our experienced instructors will provide safety instructions and guidance throughout the session. We have climbing routes to accommodate both newcomers and experienced climbers.
Do I need to fill out a form for my child? Yes, all participants are required to have an acceptance of risk form. Participants under 18 years of age must have their waiver form completed and signed by a parent or legal guardian. Waiver forms must be completed before the party begins. Failure to complete the form for your child will result in them being unable to climb.
How can I access the form? Our acceptance of risks form can be easily filled out online through our website. Simply click the red button above and follow the instructions provided.
Can waiver forms be filled out on the day of the party? To ensure a smooth and timely check-in process and prompt start, we strongly recommend that all forms be completed in advance before the party. If you are bringing someone else’s child with you be certain their parent or guardian has completed their child’s form.
Can I add extra participants to the party? We can accommodate groups of up to 6 or 12, chosen upon booking. These numbers are set in stone and no exceptions will be made for any additional participation.
What should my child wear? We recommend all participants wear comfortable clothing as you would for any sport (a spare change might be needed as clothes can end up chalky). Long hair needs to be tied back and jewellery removed before the session. We provide all the climbing equipment they’ll need for the session including climbing shoes.
Can parents watch? We allow up to 2 spectators at a time, so you may take it in turns to watch your child climb. Spectators are not allowed in any of our matted climbing areas. If you just want to stay nearby, we have a café that serves hot and cold drinks as well as an ever-changing range of snacks. You’re more than welcome to relax with a cuppa and cake. Please note in colder seasons we recommend bringing warm clothes.
Is food provided during the party? While we do not provide food, you’re welcome to bring your own birthday treats and refreshments to enjoy in our designated celebration area after the climbing session.
